LAC Privacy Statement

Los Alamos Computers (LAC) created this policy with a focus on protecting the privacy of our customers. This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for all products and services owned by LAC.

Information Collection and Use

Information collected in our Web site is only for the use of LAC, and is only collected with customer consent for the purpose of completing and delivering current LAC computer system orders. We will not sell, rent, loan, or transfer any customer's personal information outside of LAC. We maintain customer contact data and system configuration data in off-line systems in order to be able to provide personalized support, with knowledge of whom to contact with regard to a particular system, and with knowledge of the state a system was in when received.

Web Log Analysis & Cookies

We developed the LAC Web site to not need to use cookies for traffic analysis or for any other purpose; thus, we do not use cookies. We do use visitor information available in Web logs (e.g. IP address, referrer, user agent, page hits) for internal analysis in order to tailor our Web site to meet the needs and interests of our customers. Web traffic statistics remain internal to LAC.

Credit Card Information

LAC receives credit card numbers only through SSL encrypted online sessions, over the phone, or via fax. LAC will never request credit card numbers via e-mail, and any e-mails received from customers containing financial data will be immediately destroyed. We store credit card numbers received for payment in off-line systems only, and this information is accessible only to LAC employees whose job description requires access to such data.
