Our GNU/Linux computers all ship ready to use, loaded with a variety of popular programs in addition to those that come with the distribution of choice, all installed from standard distribution sources. Popular examples include:

Most GNU/Linux distributions provide updated packages which have appeared since the last release. We monitor these package lists carefully, and we apply all available updates to each box we build. We accomodate requests as well, and we currently do not charge for this service. If you want to have a particular piece of software installed and configured on your new computer, just e-mail sales@laclinux.com and ask.

With every system, we provide a DVD with all of the configuration files that we modified from their default so you can easily see exactly what we did to tune your operating system of choice for your hardware.

* With every LAC system, we offer the ability to restore your GNU/Linux side to exactly the state it was in when you received your machine with no user intervention, and with your personal files left untouched.
